“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate.” – Mark 10:7-9
According to the Diocesan Marriage Policy, couples are to attend a Marriage Preparation program, complete a FOCUS inventory and meet with the celebrant for discussion and planning. Please call the Parish Office one year in advance for an appointment.
Our parish uses Couple to Couple Mentoring to prepare engaged couples for the sacrament of marriage. Engaged couples will meet alternately both with the celebrant and an assigned mentor couple several times throughout their marriage preparation for instruction, guided discussion, Mass and other welcoming activities. Mentor couples follow a prepared agenda to encourage engaged couples to communicate and explore the key issues that they will most likely face in their vocation of married life. They also maintain a minimal level of contact between meetings to foster community. To find out more about the process of becoming a mentoring couple, or you are engaged and would like to find out about registering for this process please contact Teresa Ruehlicke at the parish office, 856-478-2294 or email: email@example.com.
