Where Faith Becomes Action
Opportunities to live the Gospel as a family.
Following Jesus is more than learning about Him — it’s learning to live like Him. In Matthew 25, Jesus reminds us that every act of compassion, mercy, and generosity is an act of love offered directly to Him: “Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”
Our Spiritual Events invite children, teens, and families to step into that Gospel call. Not with textbooks or worksheets, but with real opportunities to practice courage, compassion, patience, forgiveness, generosity, and service. These moments become the places where faith grows roots — where young people discover who God is by discovering who they can be.
This is where faith becomes life.
SPIRITUAL EVENTS
Feeding the Soul
These events help our young people experience the Spiritual Works of Mercy in ways that are meaningful, age‑appropriate, and deeply connected to parish life. We don’t simply teach about mercy — we create the moments where mercy can be lived.
Through opportunities such as:
- Participating in the beauty and mystery of Holy Week liturgies
- Gathering for Soup & Scripture to nourish both body and spirit
- Exploring Catholic vocations and listening for God’s call
…children and families learn to recognize God’s presence, reflect on His love, and grow in the habits of prayer, patience, forgiveness, and compassion.
FAMILY EVENTS
Serving with our Actions (Corporal Works of Mercy)
Our Family Events give children and parents the chance to serve together, shoulder‑to‑shoulder, living out the Corporal Works of Mercy in practical, joyful, and impactful ways.
Through activities such as:
- Making sandwiches for the hungry
- Participating at Christmas Trees on Parade to support local food ministries
- Organizing parish‑wide food collections
- Preparing and distributing meals and essentials to those in need
…families discover that service isn’t a project — it’s a way of life. These moments teach our children that every act of kindness matters, and that they have the power to make someone’s day brighter, warmer, or safer.
This is where faith becomes love in action.
Celebrating Youth-Led Services
Some of the most inspiring moments in our parish come from the hearts of our young people themselves. When a child feels called to help others, our Religious Education team walks with them, supports them, and helps bring their ideas to life.
Recent examples include:
Maddy's Care Bags
Every now and then, God sends us a reminder that compassion has no age limit — and this year, that reminder came through 12‑year‑old Maddy Reim. As a New Year’s resolution, Maddy set her heart on helping cancer patients feel comforted during treatment. What began as a simple idea from a child who wanted to make a difference has grown into something extraordinary. To read more, click the title “Maddy’s Care Bags”

Brogan's Blessing Bags
Brogan Burke has a heart that notices when others are in need — and this year, she turned that compassion into action. With her parents and five siblings by her side, Brogan decorated a Giving Christmas Tree at CTOP, inviting the community to donate hats, gloves, socks, hand warmers, and blankets. Partnering with For the Love of Pete, she used those gifts and monetary donations to assemble 120 Blessing Bags, each one offering warmth and hope to families facing hardship.
These projects remind us that the Holy Spirit is alive in our youth — and that when we nurture their compassion, they become powerful instruments of God’s love.
Take the Next Step — Live the Life God Made You For
Every one of us longs for a life that means something — a life rooted in purpose, connection, and joy. Activities come and go, schedules fill and empty, but the moments when we love, serve, forgive, and lift someone else up… those are the moments that stay with us. Those are the moments that shape us into the people God created us to be.
Our Spiritual Events are not just “programs.” They are opportunities — holy invitations — to discover what happens when faith becomes action. When families serve together. When children see Christ in the faces of those they help. When young people realize that their compassion can change someone’s day… or someone’s life.
- If you want your child to grow in confidence, kindness, courage, and faith…
- If you want your family to feel more connected to each other and to God…
- If you want to live a life that is fuller, richer, and more meaningful…
- Come be part of this. Step into the Gospel with us.
- This is where faith becomes action — and where action becomes joy.
