Christmas is almost here, but we still have one more Sunday of Advent.
Before I remind you of the Christmas schedule, there are some questions people are asking because the fourth Sunday of Advent falls on December 24. I hope these answers clarify.
Can I cover both Advent and Christmas by attending one mass Christmas Eve? The answer is no, you can’t count two for one. There’s a very simple reason…the readings are different and unique for each mass and season. Sunday morning is still Advent, while Sunday afternoon becomes Christmas.
If I go to Mass Sunday morning for Advent, and then go Sunday afternoon for Christmas … can I receive communion? Yes! Like the previous answer, these are two distinct Masses. You are welcome to receive at both masses December 24.
Isn’t that better than the “get two for one idea”? Can’t get any better than receiving Eucharist!
The schedule for Christmas Eve: Mass in Mullica Hill is 4, 6, and 10 pm..Mass in Woodstown is 4 pm. The schedule for Christmas Day is Mullica Hill at 9 am and Woodstown at 9 am.
I’m grateful to our liturgical ministers who will help us provide an exceptional experience of worship, praise and welcome this weekend. We look forward seeing you! Merry Christmas.
