Fr Joey is very happy today, the Eagles won twice this week! Watching last night, it was great, in spite of some challenges, there was a win.
We, as the Catholic community of the Holy Spirit will come together this Saturday, September 16 to celebrate a win for the parish … the blanket Mass and cookout. Since the merge years ago, we have faced the challenge of accepting ourselves as one, unified parish community. The blanket Mass brings parishioners from all ends of the parish to worship as one community. We also will be recognizing those who volunteer as catechists for our religious education program and RCIA. This weekend is a win for our parish as one faith community.
The weather will be beautiful, the music will be uplifting and engaging, the atmosphere will be festive. My message will offer a vision for the future … a vision that takes our parish to new heights …the call to serve will become a yearning.
One win at a time, and our faith community will be a parish where everyone will grow deeper in faith.
Just a reminder. The blanket Mass begins at 4 pm at the WPC. Bring a chair. Bring a blanket, bring hungry kids. Let’s enjoy a great time together.
