In day 2 of our Mission, Father Larry developed an acronym for “Family” to help teach us how to love deeper.
F – is for faith and forgiveness
A – is for affirmation
M – is for making memories
I – is for intimacy
L – is for love
Y – it’s all about you
Father Larry challenged listeners to do a homework assignment, which is, write a letter to your family members telling them that you love them and why. Kids should write a letter to each parent. Parents should write a letter to each child. And spouses should write a letter to each other.
He concluded the session by encouraging people to tell the people you love that you love them every day. Live every day so that everyone—especially your family—will know that you love them because you’ve told them. You have to show them AND tell them.
Day 3 should be as equally exciting, where Father Larry will talk about Confession and the Passion. Because the discussion will be intense, Father Larry suggests attending children should be in 7th grade or over.
Please join us this evening – Wednesday, May 22, 6:30-8:30 PM, at the Mullica Hill Parish Center.
